These terms apply if you are a licensed Canadian insurance advisor or agency (a “Buyer”) buying leads from Lowest Rates Hub Inc. (“we,” “us”) through our lead-buying program. They are entered into in addition to the partner agreement you signed when you joined the program. Where these terms and the partner agreement conflict, the partner agreement controls.
Definitions
- Lead. A package of contact details and quote inputs submitted by a Canadian consumer who has asked to be contacted by a licensed advisor about a specified insurance product.
- Buyer. A licensed advisor or agency in good standing with their provincial regulator who has signed our partner agreement and pays for leads.
- Consumer. The individual whose contact details comprise a lead.
- Exclusive lead. A lead sold to one Buyer only.
- Shared lead.A lead sold to up to four Buyers, who compete to win the consumer's business.
- Lead-credit.A non-cash credit applied to a Buyer's account that can be redeemed for replacement leads.
Lead packages and pricing
Lead pricing is published in the Buyer dashboard and varies by product, geography, and exclusivity tier. By placing an order, the Buyer accepts the price displayed at the time of order. Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable sales tax.
- Pay-as-you-go. Buyers pre-fund their account and leads are deducted as they are delivered.
- Subscriptions.Buyers commit to a monthly volume in exchange for a discounted unit rate. Subscriptions auto-renew on the first of each month and can be cancelled with 30 days' written notice.
- Custom campaigns. Larger Buyers may negotiate campaign-level terms in writing. Those terms supersede the standard pricing tables.
Lead delivery
Leads are delivered in real time, typically within 30 seconds of the consumer's submission. Delivery is by:
- Email and SMS notifications to the contacts you nominate during onboarding.
- The Buyer dashboard, where each lead is visible with full detail and a delivery timestamp.
- Optional API webhooks, available on request, that push leads directly into your CRM.
Buyers are expected to make first contact within one business hour of receiving a lead. Buyers who consistently delay first contact may be moved to a lower lead-priority tier or removed from the program.
Refund policy
Lead quality matters more to us than lead volume. We refund or credit leads that meet any of these conditions:
- The phone number is disconnected or invalid.
- The lead is duplicated within 30 days for the same Buyer (we'll credit the duplicate automatically).
- The consumer says they did not request a quote or contact.
- The lead is for a product or jurisdiction outside the Buyer's licensed scope, where we delivered it in error.
- The consumer is under 18 years old.
Refund requests must be submitted in the Buyer dashboard within seven calendar days of lead delivery, with a short explanation. Approved refunds are issued as lead-credits to the Buyer's account. Cash refunds are available where required by law and on request to Buyers closing their accounts.
We do not refund leads on the basis that the consumer chose another Buyer, did not buy a policy, was already a customer of another agency, or was unreachable after good-faith follow-up attempts.
Lead exclusivity
Each lead is tagged at the time of sale as either “exclusive” or “shared.”
- Exclusive leads are sold to one Buyer. We do not resell, recycle, or share that lead with any other Buyer.
- Shared leads are sold to up to four Buyers. The number of Buyers in the share group is shown in the dashboard at the moment of purchase.
We do not sell leads to a Buyer's direct competitor inside the same agency unless the agency has authorized it in writing.
Acceptable use
By accepting a lead, the Buyer agrees to:
- Use lead data only to contact the consumer about the product requested and reasonably related coverage.
- Keep lead data confidential, store it securely, and not resell or redistribute it.
- Comply with PIPEDA, CASL, the National Do Not Call List, CRTC telemarketing rules, and all applicable provincial regulator rules.
- Honour consumer requests to stop contact within seven days and notify us within two business days when one is received.
- Maintain provincial licensing in good standing and active errors-and-omissions insurance throughout the program.
- Avoid pressure tactics, false urgency, or any representation that the consumer must buy through them or through Lowest Rates Hub.
Buyers who breach these rules may be suspended immediately and terminated from the program without refund of unused lead-credits.
Termination
Either party may terminate the relationship for any reason on 30 days' written notice. We may suspend or terminate a Buyer immediately if:
- The Buyer's licence lapses or is revoked.
- The Buyer violates the acceptable-use rules above.
- The Buyer's account becomes more than 30 days past due on payment.
- We receive credible complaints from multiple consumers about the Buyer's conduct.
On termination, the Buyer must stop contacting consumers from leads purchased in the previous 60 days unless those consumers have explicitly consented to continued contact. Unused lead-credits expire 90 days after termination unless we agree otherwise in writing.
